An LGBTQ+ organization that grows with our community

The Oak Park Lesbian and Gay Association was founded in 1989 as an inclusive group for local advocacy.

While our name, structure and programming have evolved over the past 35 years, our commitment to uplifting our LGBTQ+ community remains steadfast. Today, Out With Purpose draws on our vibrant history to grow ever-more inclusive and representative of our Chicagoland community.

THE OPALGA+ SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Supporting the futures of LGBTQ+ scholars and allies

The OPALGA+ Scholarship Fund provides financial support for continuing education of local, Cook County Illinois, LGBTQIA+ students and allies who have demonstrated service and advocacy to the LGBTQIA+ community and/or the larger community. Scholarships are $5,000 each, paid directly to the college or program you plan to attend.
