Wendy Cole (she/her) has served on the OPALGA+ board since 2022, a period of exciting growth and momentum for the organization. She’s committed to helping foster a safe and supportive community for all, especially with our hard-won civil rights and protections squarely under attack. Having raised two children in Oak Park with her late partner, she recently moved back to Chicago after 25 years in the village. Wendy is a longtime journalist who continues to be passionate about storytelling in her professional and personal life. Determined to maintain strong ties with the vibrant Oak Park LGBTQ+ community, she’s perennially in pursuit of the most expeditious route here from the Uptown neighborhood—as well as the perfect caramel macchiato.
